After Zhamnov came back Tuomo really turned the season around. And he has really kept playing well. Hopefully something stuck for the kid because he has future stud written all over him.

Best game of the year by FAR....he was all over the ice, and scored on a backhand shot that was very Forsberg esque... a player he is often compared to.

That neccessairly ain't a good thing, if we can't resign him when he wants da big bucks which he will reightly deserve in da future. Been our best player in the 2nd half of da season so far, I don't think he's goin to be as good as Forsberg, but more of a Michael Peca type of playa with a lot of Offensive skill.

Ruutu will be a great player, but I fear for another team.

Not for a long time at least. The kid is only a rookie so he is owned by Wirtz for quite a while.

I honestly think that Ruutu = Forsberg.... isnt all that much of a stretch, maybe the only thing PF has over Ruutu is his stick handling ability. I think that he's got SOOOOO much talent.

That would be so f***ing awesome if he was. If so then we could enjoy his presence for a few seasons then watch him get traded for some soft ass Soviet centerwoman as soon as he asks for some real money. Such is life in Chicago hockey.

Ruutu is no Peter Forsberg, he's good but not that good. I've heard the comparaisons too often. Will make a big impact, expectations set wayyyyy to high.

I watched almost the entire game....and felt nothing.

Odd feeling not to care AT ALL how the Hawks were doing, and to be more interested in watching Rick Nash than ANYONE wearing the "road white" uniforms.

Road white uni's = :puke in case anyone forgot.

I think the Worst Disorgan-I-zation has finally killed off the last remaining shreds of fandom I had left.

I'm going to the UC on March 19th, but I'll be wearing my Canucks road jersey, and NOT buying any food or drink while I'm there.

I still love hockey, and the NHL, I just don't have any interest left in the SlackHawks anymore. They've joined the Bears and Bulls in my "who cares" pile.

The Hawks should just keep losin so they can get a Rick Nash, Ilja Kovalchuk type player in the draft, so they can market the team betta in the future with Ruutu. Mark Bell is finally developin into a power forward as well, although he still has a long way to go. And I think Anderson more so than Leighton this season hav proved they can definitely play in the NHL so mayb tradin TBo to a playoff team that mite overpay (Toronto with Belfour out) and we can continue the rebuilding. And don't think we r goin to use 4 second round picks in this year's draft either, we'll definitely try to trade up into the 1st round and get sum picks in there. But all hope for the Hawks depend on gettin a Salary Cap in the next Collective Barganing Agreement cos we all know Wirtz and Pulford aren't goin to pay for players.

If he works hard, I don't know about Forsberg, but this kid can be a JR-type power forward. He has a meanstreak a mile wide, and potential to match. He really could use a veteran to take him under his wing. That is why you get kids like Zetterberg and Datsyuk come up and contribute huge in Detroit. They get taught by HOFers instead of Admirals.

Hey - I'll be there on the 17th (I think it's the 17th ) in my Canes jersey! Do I have to go thru ticketbastard or can I get tickets the night of the game (it's not a big game or anything so Brian and I were planning to get the tickets there)?

I'm hoping to see the little Latvian to be truthful, but I will be happy with whoever is in net as long as the Canes win. The last time they were in town (2 years ago), they had Baraso (sp? or as Brian calls him Barasshole) in net.

I think my favorite play last night was with like 6 mins left in the 3rd when Ruutu skated striaght up the gut and made a beauitful cut on two defenders and then was tripped. Just amazing footwork.
