March 5, 200422 yr THem Blue demons?!?!?!?! I think yesterday's win solidified a tournament bid. As long as no one goes down with an injury, I think they may surprise some teams too. Wish they were this good when I was there.
March 5, 200422 yr They played a good game... I was surprised to see them running a match-up zone in the first half. That's a complicated defense. I know Leito(sp) has connections to Conneticut, but i don't ever recall UConn running a zone defense with man-to-man principles. The match-up zone kept 'em in the game 'til that run late, though they never used it in the second half.
