February 3, 200323 yr I think there is like 60 games played or 45 days on the 25-man roster as well(meaning if 25 of your 45 days came in September, it wouldn't count) I think I have it somewhere...I'll go look for it.

Rookie Qualifications: The baseball Writers' Association of America considers a player a rookie unless during the previous season or seasons he has (1) exceeded 130 at-bats or 50.0 innings pitched in the Major Leagues, or (2) accumulated more th an 45 days on the active roster of a Major League club during the 25-man limit that is in effect from Opening Day through August 31. Site I guess 60 games wasn't on there
