March 22, 200422 yr Nice to hear about Koch's velocity, but I just want him to pitch good. If his velocity is back up...then thats awesome. I'm also going to wait till I see it on the guns on tv and such. Takatsu is getting shelled every outing though, starting to become a concern, imo.

March 22, 200422 yr I think I am more concerned with Shingo too. Koch seems to be stepping it up and Shingo gets hit hard. Well if I had a choice between who would be the better of the two...I'd want it to be Koch. If he's back, then it would be absolutely HUGE for this team. Him and Marte (assuming he stays healthy and keeps it up) would be a dynamite 8th and 9th inning combo. Then you got Politte, Wunsch and if Tagatsu figures it out its even better. Then you have Grilli and whoever else. This pen could be better then last years, it could be worse, but I love hearing good things about Koch and seeing the numbers he's put up thus far (not even factoring velocity into this).
March 22, 200422 yr why is MLBR doing this and not ESPN? I am not much impressed with these announcers whomever they may be Announcers were Pat Sajak of the Wheel fame joined by Billy Sample and Broan McRae. Pretty poor game calling
March 22, 200422 yr They say that Loaiza did a solid job today. Gave up a homer but otherwise was strong today. They think Koch was ok, but not too sharp today. Might have been working on something today and not up to game speed.
