April 7, 200421 yr Maddox is mistaking the players for the plate, he hit 2 guys in the 1st inning, D'Angelo and someone else, i missed his name. I wouldnt be suprised if the Reds retaliate
April 7, 200421 yr Maybe they'll plunk Patterson or Sosa and they get on the DL. I know you're not suposed to hope for injuries, but I wouldn't mind it if it was a Cubs player, especially Sosa.
April 7, 200421 yr The other Red Maddux plunked was some no-name by the name of Ken Griffey Junior. i hope your not being sarcastic, that is a true statement
April 7, 200421 yr Author The other Red Maddux plunked was some no-name by the name of Ken Griffey Junior. well i was "releiving myself" and i heard the broadcasters in the backround say that he hit another guy. Then the inning was over BTW Maddox just gave up a bomb
April 7, 200421 yr The other Red Maddux plunked was some no-name by the name of Ken Griffey Junior. Junior just repaid him back........with a loooooooooong home run over the centerfield wall.
April 7, 200421 yr How is the tribune going to spin Maddux's pitching today? 3 ER, 2 HBP, 3 IP so far.....
April 7, 200421 yr Man, Griffey crushed that one. Shades of his Mariner days. Lets hope he stays healthy to keep crushing the Cubs.
April 7, 200421 yr How is the tribune going to spin Maddux's pitching today? 3 ER, 2 HBP, 3 IP so far..... Mike Kiley will call it impressive and that 460 foot home runs are to be expected.
April 7, 200421 yr Oh and by the way...the title "Beane Ball War". I didn't know Billy Beane was at the park today
April 7, 200421 yr I have no problem with Cub bashing, but we should keep it in the Sports Bar. This section should be all White Sox talk, all the time. Sosa is getting booed by Reds fans! :fthecubs
April 8, 200421 yr Patterson caught stealing. Nice throw on the money by LaRue to nail him. Also, nice catch in foul territory by Casey to retire Sosa.
April 8, 200421 yr The Cubs are really playing like s*** today, I LOVE IT. Corey is thrown out attempting to steal, Scammy fouls out, and Alou swings at first pitch and flies to left.
April 8, 200421 yr Paul Wilson, so far, so good. 5 innings and only 2 hits. 2 squib hits and 5 K's. Lead off double for Cinncinnati.
