Concerns for Tommorow?

Featured Replies

The Sox are going up against Jorge De Paula before. My question is, have the Sox, or the majority of Sox players, faced De Paula yet? What worries me is that we don't fair very well against guys who we haven't seen before, who knows, maybe Ozzie changes that. But I don't even know if the Sox have faced him before, so maybe it's a mute concern. Can someone help me out?

I don't think will have that same problem this year. This is a NEW offense. If Manuel was here I would be worried. But we are now playing OZZIE BALL... :headbang

I understand where you're coming from because last year we were dominated all the time against the Tigers and everybody elses young pitchers that we have never faced. But, they should be playing with heart and motivation because it is the Yankees, so I'm not too worried.

i want another victory like today's, we face moose on sunday.

Moose has already given up like 15 runs in two starts.

He won his first seven decisions last year. He usually kicks ass every April.

If Sox hitters aren't gonna greedily pull off the ball, then the mysterious affliction of not being able to hit rookies will vanish.

But if Sox can't work the count, look for their pitch and utilize the whole field with a leveld swings....well, then, expect some jammage more often than not.

The prior will rule over the latter tomorrow IMO. This team looks like it can do a hell of a lot of things.

Moose doesnt scare me as much as he used to, maybe the Rays just hit him hard... but he looks very mortal in the early goings.

So long as he continues to own the Twins. And he lets us hit the s*** out of him too.

I wouldnt be so sure if I were you. I guess tomorrow should give us a peek at things to come.

The bottom line for me is... im excited to see them play tomorrow, ozzie has made whitesox baseball fun to watch again.... Manuel was a dueche.

Buerhle finally gets his chance to pitch in NYC that was denied to him last year by Manuel. I have a feeling the Sox may have to play small-ball tomorrow since they always struggle against newbie pitchers. Whatever it takes to win.

The most I am expecting out of this series is a split, if we can pull that out, I would be extremely satisfied going to the cell on tuesday :headbang

If our hitters go up there with mind set to see as many pitches as possible from this guy and not swing at the first pitch I think this "first pitcher" thing will disappear. If they are not patient then they may continue to have problems.
