April 10, 200422 yr Man this guy sold me today...hell of a game from him, nice to see great addition and I can't wait to see more of him, couple hits, walk and a few runs scored...great game!!!!!!!!!!!!!1
April 10, 200422 yr He earned some PT today vs. righties, But I still like Aaron out the vs. lefties and for his defence.
April 10, 200422 yr I like Aaron out there no matter what, but if Timo can put up a .270-.280 average, he is a hell of a 4th OF option. And we got all that for a guy we had no use for. Sweet.
April 10, 200422 yr One thing I do like is his lefthanded bat in a predominant right handed lineup. I am not sure if either he or Rowand are an everyday CF. I would also like to see Rowand batting 2nd. I believe he suits that role in the batting order a lot better than Jose.
April 10, 200422 yr Perez was hitting RHP pretty damn well a year or two ago -- certainly better than Aaron has so far. He can field as well as Aaron, is faster on the pads and has post-season/pennant race experience. Aaron starts versus LHP. Let them fight for the right to hit against RHP. Competitiion is good. Who knows, maybe Reed/Borchard/Gload want to join the fight.
April 10, 200422 yr I'm glad to see Timo got off to a good start for us. That will keep down most of the "This guy sucks." and "KW is a moron." remarks for a while.
April 10, 200422 yr I personally think that he is a better leadoff option than Willie/Uribe. Where else in the lineup could Willie hit? 9th is the only spot I deem suitable for him. Right now, he is the one guy who when he is up I am not confident in him getting a hit, I just haven't seen it enough.
April 10, 200422 yr I thought even before today that Timo was a steal. He's just a solid all around ball player.
April 10, 200422 yr Its hilarious how one game can start a love fest or hate rampage against a player.
April 10, 200422 yr Its hilarious how one game can start a love fest or hate rampage against a player. Very true. That's really lame to me. But I did really think Timo was a steal.
April 10, 200422 yr It's all about what happens over the long haul. Too many people are ready to give up on someone too quickly, and in other situations, like Timo today, they annoint him as the Second Coming .....
April 10, 200422 yr I'm very happy to see what Timo did in his first start today. I hope we can use him often enough this season. Also I just read on Whitesox.com that Gload will probably get a start on Sunday.
April 10, 200422 yr if you've given up on willie harris after four games, i suggest you give up on Joe Crede to.
