Steroid plot thickens

Featured Replies

Wow, so baseball comes out and says they won't retest old specimens and ... the FEDS come in to seize them? Sounds like a blackmail plot to me to enforce what the government wants on drug testing.

I think it was in SI, someone suggested that the best thing Barry Bonds (or others accused of alleged steroid use) could do is preemptively come out and volunteer to be tested. Then if he (they) is "clean", he can tell his accusers to f**k off!

Until these players get tested, they are going to be scrutinized!

Doesn't this smack of invasion of privacy to anyone else? They were told these tests would be anonymus. I'll bet this causes big problems during the next CBA negotiations.

uh oh...its about to get interesting.

Sure its invasion of privacy. The same way they can get a search warrant and rummage through your underwear drawer. There is nothing new about this. As for the CBA, this may just force the MLBPA into agreeing to a more substantial testing and/or punishment policy.
