What is the new capacity?

Seeing these low expectations for today's attendance made me wonder what the new park capacity is after taking out those upper deck seats. Anyone know?

I thought they said they took out 6000 seats, but I can't recall for sure.

I thought I heard somewhere that the NEW USCF holds around 41,000.

and today's attendance should be REALLY low, because they're playing tomorrow... :D

They took out 6600 seats. I can't find the official new capacity, though.

It was a bit over 47K before so a bit under 41K now I assume..

Details:

With the completed changes, the height of the ballpark was reduced 22 feet, reaching 129 feet above field level, and the ballpark's capacity has been cut to under 41,000. When the stadium opened on April 18, 1991 -- at a cost of $137 million -- its capacity was 44,321. That jumped to more than 47,000 during 2002 renovations.

Well after seeing the openning day attendance, it looks like just under 40,800.

40,618 to be exact IIRC.

How about 40,617? Or, 40,619?

Steff can't be right...

For some reason that number is stuck in my head. I don't know if I heard it or read it.
