Bored--here's a chapel talk!

Featured Replies

Okay, so this is less than thrilling, but I spoke in my school's daily chapel today. If you all want to listen--here's the website:

http://www.stolaf.edu/church/chapel/

Click on April 15, 2004.

Um, that's all--just in case anyone's REALLY bored at work.

And I'm open to any debate on the topic (which is, in honor of Sexual Assault Awareness Month: loving our neighbors and forgiveness as it pertains to issues of intimate violence).

I didn't click on the link, but every time I see St. Olaf, all I can think of is Rose Nylon from 'Golden Girls.'

Sorry, nothing of worth to add at this time.

highlighted the link, didn't click... :nono maybe you should stop showing us your bookmarked web pages steve... ;)

Yeah, it's pretty cool, I am trying to find the one I did my sophomore year too. But it's kinda cool, 15 minutes long, song, and me talking. Pretty cool, if I may say so. And I was super pleased with how the talk went--although I fell out of my heel in the middle. :)

LOL, yeah I thought it sounded really good. Don't think I could do sumthin like that really, public speakin is one of my greatest fears, although I've slowely gotten betta at it. Thought u made sum really good points too, really had me thinkin bout da subject.

I don't like public speaking, but it's a cause I'm way passionate about, so I thought I'd have a go at it. You can tell I'm freaking out at the start, but meh. Thanks for listening--it's definitely a message that needs to be heard.

It is quite nice. I am very glad that I chose to come here--sometimes it's a bit stifling, but they give us pretty free reign to speak our mind and the Pastor here is very kind and respectful. And the campus is GORGEOUS (and all the norwegian blondes are too...).

XXX Church

I wish that were fake

you catch those morons on the daily show too.

Who didn't see that coming?
