April 18, 200421 yr Why on earth would MLB make the Sox longest homestand of year in late April and early May in Chicago, and after having the Detroit Tigers for 3 weekend homestands last year I see we got them twice this year along with Seattle twice. Cubs play no one more than once on weekend homestand, weekend games are a premium for attendance and Sox fans should get a little better choice than what we have had the last 2 years.
April 18, 200421 yr I thought the same thing yesterday. Its like they are setting the Sox up for attendance failure or at least helping. Have the long homestand later in the year with warm weather.
April 18, 200421 yr Is everybody associated with the MLB against us? Oh well. We will prove them wrong.
April 18, 200421 yr I don't think it is that intentional, just a lot of teams and park schedules to balance actually works well for me
April 18, 200421 yr actually i like it, we always play better at home, sets the team up for a better start which as we know, the sox desperately needed last year.
April 19, 200421 yr The Sox have only had 3 home games so far, everyone else in the division has played 6. So a long home stand just balances it out.
April 19, 200421 yr The important thing is we're 8-4 and have only had 1 home series, and we usally are .500 or usally worse on the road.
April 19, 200421 yr The important thing is we're 8-4 and have only had 1 home series, and we usally are .500 or usally worse on the road. excellent point and now we have a chance to get some good home cooking and open up a lead as glorious as the weather has been, should be some great weather for the games
April 19, 200421 yr actually i like it, we always play better at home, sets the team up for a better start which as we know, the sox desperately needed last year. Yes, it does. If they can go 8-4 or 9-3, it'll be looking pretty damn sweet!
April 19, 200421 yr The important thing is we're 8-4 and have only had 1 home series, and we usally are .500 or usally worse on the road. Is this the beginning of the new Be Good, with smart and insightful White Sox banter....
