person is coming off some operation and seeing how long it took rauch to recover, i highly doubt the sox will go after him, unless its for a minor league money. which i will not blame kw for doing,

id only take on person if he signed a brian daubach type contract...because he will probably need a year at triple A to get his stuff back

Person is pretty much a guarantee at starting in AAA somewhere. He probably won't be able to pitch in the majors for the first month. I don't see the Sox signing him, but he can definately be had cheap if Rogers doesn't sign.

 

If we don't sign Rogers, I'd think they'd consider signing Person to a minor league deal, let him rehab and if Rauch is struggling, then he'll get a shot, if Rauch isn't, then he could go to the bullpen, demand his release, get dealt, or stick around in the minors till someone goes down.
