It's called special teams.

I think he was more eluding to the fact that there are only 7 rounds in the NFL draft

Why???? What is the point of drafting 3 straight DB's when we have Zoom, R-Dub, Peanut, Bobby, Mike Brown and Mike Green???? We have to draft a WR in the draft.

Once again, it's called special teams.

We don't need any wide receivers right now. Your philosophy is similar to that of the Detroit Lions. It just doesn't make any sense.

Now I know better than to talk football on a baseball board. ;)

:lolhitting  :lolhitting I am saying that because there are only 7 round...

Oh yeah

And your the perso nthat thought there were 8 rounds in a draft. Cmon buddy.

Basically, every strong team takes care of the DL and OL before anything else. Then you take care of the special teams. You don't draft wide receivers unless the more important aspects of a given team are taken care of.

The Detroit Lions go out and get Joey Harrington and Charles Rogers, but how is their O-Line looking?

Who gives a s*** about such a minute detail?

And besides, we're talking philosophy here, no?

I was just watching SC and Denny Greene was saying how his staff and him have 3 guys they really love and they have the #3 pick. He said no matter what pick you have, you have to have that number of guys you would really like to see.

So I took the Bears and 14 guys I would be happy with picking(including QB's, because all 3 will be taken before casuing more people to slide)
