Juan Uribe News

Featured Replies

White Sox SS Juan Uribe might falter once A.L. pitchers start throwing him breaking balls, but he has been one of the team's most pleasant surprises. To Royals G.M. Allard Baird, Uribe looks like a young Neifi Perez. Baird says of Uribe and 2B Willie Harris, "Those two kids create some energy, not only defensively, but offensively." . . .

I've seen Uribe kill a few breaking balls.

How many games has Juan played?!?

You'd think they'd start throwing them by now...

BTW, I think that was a breaking ball he DIDN'T swing at that walked home the winning run...

So...to Inside Dish: :finger

I am not surprised at all by Uribe's hot start for the Sox, just knowing his potential in Colorado was huge, but last year injuries held him out til June, so he wasnt able to get anything started. But its very nice to know that when Valentin is gone, Uribe will be our starting SS, because this guy will get better and better.

On a side note DBAHO, as a fellow Cowboy fan, that Avatar is freaking awesome! If Be Good still had that thread of rating the poster, that avatar would get a 10+.

Defensively, maybe.

BB has a liver bat and better wheels. Neifi is hitting .180 with 500 OPS as we speak.
