Cardinals fans at the park

Recommended Posts

Bleh, a bunch of middle schoolers came into the upper deck during game 1, pulled out a huge Cardinals banner, and kept shouting "Go Cards!". Unfortunately, we had some drunkard Cub fans sitting with us who kept dropping the F bomb at them, and probably said every swear on the face of the earth to those kids. Then, they pulled out a Braves banner and started saying "Let's go Braves". Really was weird.

I don't know why Cubs fans have to come and litter our park with their idiocy.

you were in Section 534, right?

that idiocy in my section?

no excuse for swearing at kids -

and I cannot fathom why a cubs fan would show up at USCF to see the Blue Jays

Section 520.

Even though it wasn't in your section, it was still plaguing the UD.

Definately no excuse for swearing at children, who looked to be 8th graders at most. Probably less.

The banner was nifty. "Go Cards- We think we are lost!"

During game one, one Sox fan kept yelling "You ain't worth a s***" to the other teams players... it was getting old.

Cub fans had nothing better to do since Wrigley is closed.

I ended up watching the last few innings at a local bar - WGN showed some guys with a Koch banner but I couldn't make out what it said - did you see that one? It might have said Koch's Crew or something, but they never had a good shot of the whole thing - I am curious what it rally said

Section 520 is not bad, close to the stand that sells the chicken strips

I did not see it. I'd kinda like to know what it said too. Some people had "Konerko's Clan" out there during Game 1. That was pretty cool.

I believe it was "Koch's Crowd."

Well, it's nice to know that some people still have faith in Billy. I must say though, that he has looked good his past few outtings.

Koch was money tonight.

We need Garland to go 8 innings and give our pen a rest.

it would be so good if Garland goes 8

Crede's Crew

Kornerkos Clan

Koch's Crowd

But now what's going to happen now to all of "Wright's Wretches?" Oh well. It's just as well. And Mr. Zero, when you say "stupid Cub fans," you can drop the word "stupid" - it's redundant. We know ice is cold, fire is hot, Cub fans are stupid, etc.

If Danny Wrong ever wants to even sniff a major-league jockstrap ever again, he needs to work on another pitch and learn what "pitching" is. All he does is just wind up and chuck the motherf*cker towards the plate. Hence his 7.00+ ERA this year, and his 5.00+ ERA when he won those 14 games.

Keep in mind that Jack Morris once won 21 games with an ERA over 5.00 because his offense scored a s***load of runs behind him. Maybe I'm just a stat-geek or whatever, but I look at ERA and WHIP a hell of a lot more than I look at wins.

If you don't understand, look at Nolan Ryan's 1987 season. He was 8-16, so he sucked, right? Well, he only gave up 154 hits in 212 innings pitched, had a 2.76 ERA, and struck out 270 hitters. However, he had horrible run support and shotty defense behind him. It's not always the win-loss record that tells you how good a pitcher really is. Either way, good riddance to Danny Wrong. I got tired of penciling in a loss every 5th day that "Mr Lob-Ball" started.
