Frank Thomas already in camp

Featured Replies

I knew it! Frank Thomas is already in there with the team and ready to play! I thought he would arrive, get supplies, and stay in an undisclosed area for a week. This shows that this man is starting to make an effort to come out and be dependable. Also, guess who reported it, A REPORTER. Thomas spoke with ESPN baseball beat reporter Bruce Levine. I just heard it on AM 1000, at 10:00. What do you think about that?

Excellent - glad that we avoid that controversy this year and Frank being at ST now is a message that this season is to be taken serious!

Ahhhh yes! "Good frank" is back. :headbang

i looove frank thomas

you do??

uh huh!! !

That a boy Hurt!

That's my boy! :headbang :headbang :headbang

Looks like the Frank we've come to know and love is for real. A lot of people were saying that the only thing keeping him from having a great year is the tension between him and mr. molasses, PK. I think with Frank showing that he wants to work harder (either that or try out for pitcher or catcher) there's nothing that anybody can say negatively about him.

So all of you people that doubted Frank anytime the past 10 or so years, :nono you should have learned. This should also be shined upon by Hall o Fame voters. Unlike a certain monkey in RF on the north side that hardly shows up to ST at all. anyways I'm bored as hell I'll talk to y'all later.

An Early start on things never hurt a thing. Here's hoping he has a better season this time than last year.

:headbang Its awesome that he's at spring training already. Should give him more time to meet some of the new players, get his game face on, and be ready for the start of the year. Frank is going to rock this year!!!!!!!!!!!

His early arrival just further proves he is on a mission this year. Opposing pitchers beware!

That puts a :D on my face. Arriving early just goes to show us that he is ready to play

The "good Frank" is usually the Frank that thinks he has something to prove to all the naysayers throughout MLB..... just like in 2000. After the dedication Frank has shown to coming back in 2003 with a vengeance this offseason, I think most Sox fans will be ready to welcome Big Frank back with open arms and a deafening standing ovation before his first AB during the home opener. Remember, just last season, Sox fans were doing the same for Big Frank when we thought he may not be wearing the White Sox uni in 2003. Time for Sox fans to let the Hurt know we appreciate everything he's done for us and that we're happy he's on our team. And I admit, that I was one of Big Frank's critics during some parts of 2002's season..... although I thought the criticism was deserved at the time. But..... I'd rather have Big Hurt on my team than face him when the game is on the line.

Well, I don't mean to rain on everyone's parade, because I love Frank just as much as the next person, but let's not forget how 2002 started. Frank came to camp supposedly happy and ready to be a team guy, and that didn't last long. So while it's a great sign that he's at camp early, let's not get carried away -- "good Frank" was a guy who hit .325 with 35 and 120, and hopefully that's what we'll see in '03.

frank got set up by the media on the contract question and things got out of hand...he has now sworn off talking to the media and i for one couldnt be happier with his decision....for some reason the press has always screwed with thomas while giving soso pass after pass after pass....even when sammy was with us he got a pass and beating his old lady with a rum bottle..

the next time frank talks to the media should be 5 years after he retires at his hall of fame induction

My God... next thing you know Sosa won't show up a week late.....
