May 15, 200421 yr they have thrown out only three out of twenty eight baserunners before last night game i mean it is sad because we have two lefty's in the rotaition which are usually known for holding runners.u would think they would be much more concerned about trying to hold the guy on first but since there not it just seems like there is always a guy in position to score on a single because someone has stolen second or even third.if they keep up at this rate we are gonna be in for a really long season.
May 15, 200421 yr That is sad because i remember everyone talking about Olivo's insane arm in ST. Looks like no one is scared of him anymore.
May 15, 200421 yr Hawk said something about that yest. It's a shame this is going on esp. one of them being the top defensive catcher in the league (of course I mean Olivo.) Brian Roberts really f***ed up that stat though.

When baserunners are getting 3-5 step jumps off of your starting pitchers, it's going to be tough for Jesus H. Christ at C to throw out a base stealer. Olivo and Alomar cannot be blamed for the Sox SP not being able to hold a base stealing threat close. It's almost like conceding a double everytime someone with some speed hits a single.
