The son of U.S. Senate Majority Leader Bill Frist, of Tennessee, was busted for alleged drunk driving in Princeton Borough yesterday.

Police said officers pulled over William Harrison Frist, Jr.’s 1999 Chevy outside one of Princeton University’s eateries on Prospect Street at 1:35 a.m. for making an illegal pass.

After a field sobriety test, police said, the university sophomore was found to be driving under the influence of alcohol.

Police said Frist was legally drunk, but not belligerent.

The rest, of the story

If this was Joe Average Citizen's kid we would not be reading about it. Is it really worth covering?

It should be reserved for the police blotter of the local paper, but that's never the case when it involves someone famous.

No it's not worth covering at all/

Speaking of which, anybody know what happened to KW's kids and their legal troubles?

Kids should be off limits. I was sickened by all the ugly jokes by comics during the Clinton administration. The kids have enough problems dealing with their parents not being around and such. I feel bad for them.

It shouldn't be. But since it sells newspapers, it is.

I belive I read in the Sun-Times awhile back the charges were dropped.

If the kid starts throwin' around daddy's name to try and get him out of it, or if daddy pulls more than a few strings to help (like the Wisconsin AG), then yes. Otherwise, leave it be.
