His swing isn't long as hell where it is all or nothing. Crosby will finish around .250-.260 and will only get better. Crede will have to go on one hell of a surge to get to .250-.260. If they start to slump with out Chavez, the fact they are going to have to resign Mulder and or Hudson, will hang over their head and force them to trade one of them before the deadline. The A's could potentially lose both, and even with the depth at pitching in the minors, they would have big problems for next year and beyond, especially with how handcuffed they are for salary. Beane's moneyball strategy can only go so far if you can't resign your own players. You really do have to catch lightning in a bottle.
