June 3, 200421 yr DON'T PRINT THAT Note to Twins, who could use a No. 5 starting pitcher: Todd Ritchie, a former Twins' first-round draft pick who is rehabbing after shoulder surgery at Tampa Bay's Class AA Montgomery, Ala., club, has a contract clause allowing him to become a free agent June 10 if he isn't promoted to the Devil Rays. At least a half-dozen major league scouts will be in Montgomery on Friday to see Ritchie pitch. Former Twins pitcher Kenny Rogers, who wanted $4 million to re-sign with Minnesota, is 8-2 for the Texas Rangers, who are paying him $3 million this season. Local people with ties to former St. Louis Rams quarterback Kurt Warner say he soon will sign with the New York Giants. http://www.twincities.com/mld/twincities/s.../8822171.htm?1c
