June 18, 200421 yr In a more lighthearted topic, what are some of your favorite road signs or city names? One that you Michganders can relate to, and I crack up everytime I go by: I-75 exit 69 Big Beaver Road.
June 18, 200421 yr Justamere Road You cross it when traveling west on Midlothian Turnpike; it's a few blocks east of Ridgeland.

It'd look funny as hell in their "unintentional porn" section.
June 18, 200421 yr Author Another Michigan one I remember is Climax, Michigan. And there's a road that leads into Climax, that you have to go through Hell, Michigan. So to get to Climax you have to go through Hell.

I've driven it a few times when I lived in Fort Wayne, I went through Toledo to get to Detroit.

June 18, 200421 yr Another Michigan one I remember is Climax, Michigan. And there's a road that leads into Climax, that you have to go through Hell, Michigan. So to get to Climax you have to go through Hell. Climax is a township, Calhoun County and you get to Climax on I94. Hell is Shiawassee County I think and they do a good business all year and especially Halloween. We also have a Christmas which I think is in the UP but I could be wrong on that. We also have Nirvanna (a bit north and west of me). We have the Tittabawassee River (in the thumb). There are others but I can't think right now.
June 18, 200421 yr I've driven it a few times when I lived in Fort Wayne, I went through Toledo to get to Detroit. I trust you enjoyed the Pistons winning, Mr. Fort Wayne Guy! Big Beaver Road is in Troy essentially as I recall from when I lived there. I have to look at map to be sure. But it is north of Detroit, yes?

But it is north of Detroit, yes? I know I thought it was cool. I live 5 min away from where the Pistons used to play while in Fort Wayne. They're actually razing that gym this summer though; it's in North Side High School. NSHS is the second oldest HS in Fort Wayne, to my South Side HS, where I just graduated.
June 18, 200421 yr East and West Big Beaver Road do run through Troy, north of Maple, north of 14 Mile Road (Detroit nothern limit is as we all know 8 Mile Road) and runs into Birmingham. I just looked it up. Mapquest shows the Exit 69 too but I couldn't get the picture to copy. And the original Big Beaver Road comes out of the Rogue River, French trapping area back in the day,
June 18, 200421 yr Dude, take a pic of that and send it to Maxim Magazine. It'd look funny as hell in their "unintentional porn" section. It's been in there already.
June 18, 200421 yr Driven past there when we went to look at the Cyclone. I drive past it every year on the way to the Grand Geneva.
June 18, 200421 yr Driving east on 74 from Champaign there is an exit called "G Street" I find it amusing.

June 18, 200421 yr What got me started with this topic (I almost forgot to post it...) F***ing, Austrailia Austria, not Australia Kap. It makes more sense that the town would have survived all these years in a non-English speaking country.
June 18, 200421 yr Author Austria, not Australia Kap. It makes more sense that the town would have survived all these years in a non-English speaking country. Indeed. Typo. I'll go back and fix it.
June 18, 200421 yr Driving east on 74 from Champaign there is an exit called "G Street" I find it amusing. I never can find that one, even though I'm sure I'm real close. That's when my wife loses her patience with me and says it would be better if she was doing the driving.
June 18, 200421 yr actually my favorite road sign is the one that says, "U.S. Cellular Field, next exit."
June 18, 200421 yr Author actually my favorite road sign is the one that says, "U.S. Cellular Field, next exit." I really want to get to Chi-town this summer but I just don't know. I guess it all depends on when we close on the house.
