June 18, 200421 yr Just got back from Hawkeye Boys State... http://www.iowaboysstate.org/ It's when 700 guys get together and form a mock government at Camp Dodge, the big military base north of Des Moines. Made like 30 new friends. The guy that was elected as governor ended up pissing off a lot of people that voted for him. It got bad enough that a mob of 40 kids went to his barracks to kidnap him. It got bad enough that MP's were patrolling the place in a much bigger fashion than before. People got duct taped to telephone poles. But it was a ton of fun.
June 19, 200421 yr Author And My God, it rained another 3-4 inches while I was gone and the town flooded AGAIN. This is the worst it's been in a long time. It's not like damage or anything, but the four lane through town gets flooded across.
