HuskyCaucasian
Between 1972 and 2003, there have been 61 "hidden" perfect games thrown by 58 differant pitchers. "Hidden" means it the pitcher retired 27 consecutive batters, just not all in one game. Check out this article... http://www.baseballprospectus.com/article....ache=1086690807 PS: The record is 41 batters retired in a row
danman31
Wow, that is unbelievable. I was going to ask if 29 was a record or something, damn.
Wise Master Buehrle
Did Shingo continue his streak tonight?
whitesoxin'
Did Shingo continue his streak tonight? He got it until 29 in a row. The hit that ended it was a grounder in the hole between 3rd and 2nd. So he still wasn't hit hard. Two shutout innings!
HuskyCaucasian
Wow, that is unbelievable. I was going to ask if 29 was a record or something, damn. See, that's what I was wondering too until i found the article. 29 seems like a LOT for a reliever to retire in a row since they only pitch a few games a week. But to find out that it has been done 61 times in just over 30 years was stagering
