March 4, 200323 yr I thought that Josh Stewart was supposed to pitch today, it's Danny Wright pitching according to these announcers. Anybody know why? Well, I know that tomorrow's schedule changed (a split-squad game vs. the Diamond Backs was added), so that probably affected who was going to pitch today. Unfortunately, Wright is struggling again. It's the 2nd inning, and he's given up 4 runs. Hopefully he'll settle down and end the day on a positive note.

The announcers said that all the damage was done when he threw his fastball. For me, that's a good thing. We know he's got a pretty good fastball. Obviously it's very early in the spring, so his arm isn't stretched out fully, so his fastball is not going to be up to par just yet. Hopefully his other stuff is working good.

March 4, 200323 yr Rios makes a run saving catch in the outfield. Rangers are up 7-1 though. They scored a run in this inning off of Josh Stewart.
March 4, 200323 yr White Sox go down in order in the Top of the 4th. Borchard flied out to deep center and Armando Rios hit a line shot but got out.

He's pitched 3 2/3 innings and some people are probably freaking out. Sad. I don't really want everyone pitching awesome in March for one reason -- it's simply not going to last. I'd rather have our guys gel in mid-season and carry that momentum into October. Having your best games and/or best stuff now is a waste IMO.

March 4, 200323 yr f*** YES GRAND SLAM BORCHARD!!!!!!!!!!!!!! Borchard Kicks Ass Were tied at 7!!!!!!!!! 2nd Homer of the Season!!!!!!!!! It was opposite field too.
March 4, 200323 yr Rowand and Magglio Ordonez each had run scoring singles in the inning, before Borchard's homer. The inning is over though. It was a 6 run inning.
March 4, 200323 yr Brian Cooper is now pitching. Josh Stewart threw 2 innings giving up one run. He had a 1-2-3 3th and gave up one un-earned run in the 4th.

Management is gonna have a tough choice for CF I think. But lets save the really good play for the regular season. Spring training is meaningless...
