July 2, 200421 yr Well to say the least it didn't go near as planned. We worked for about 5 and a half hours on it and just kept running into problems. I turned the board back for the time being while Kap and I will have to regroup and try to figure out what exactly is wrong with the swap. Were both puzzled as to why this isn't working because were doing it the proper way, its just not taking for some reason. Anyway just wanted to give everyone an update. Unfortunately this means that we'll still have down time. My hope is that the next time it goes down, we'll do a little test to make sure we can get it uploaded first and then once we know we got the thing working right, we'll turn it off and make the switch as quick as possible

July 2, 200421 yr Jas, I know a pretty good deal about server switches, had to do several back in the days with Wrestling Unleashed when we moved to dedicated servers, so if you have any questions or whatever, lemme know and I can possibly help.
July 2, 200421 yr As Jas stated, the puzzling thing is I know we did everything right. The tables won't transfer into the new database, and that was the hangup. Everything else worked. I have two or three more ideas to try after sleeping on it, so we'll test everything before we take down the site next time and the outage will only be very short!!
