The Critic
So I'm listening to the Cub game on the radio on the train home yesterday - I'm a baseball fan, that's why, thanks for asking - and Beltran hits the 3-run bomb to tie the game. Here's Ron Santo's "expert commentary"....EXACT QUOTE..... "......Man oh man............I didn't like THAT......oh....JEEZ....." If I'm in charge of WGN radio I call Santo into the office after the game and wish him well in his future endeavors. He is useless as a broadcaster, it's not even right to CALL him a broadcaster. His entire "contribution" to the booth consists of gasping, sighing, whining about umpires and yelling like a retarded 5-year-old when the Cubs go something he likes. Awful.............beyond awful..............

Real insight, color commentator. :puke
Queen Prawn
You'd be surprised at how many Cub fans think he is the greatest thing since sliced bread...
mreye
You'd be surprised at how many Cub fans think he is the greatest thing since sliced bread... No, I wouldn't. I haven't been able to get ANY of my Cub fan friends to agree that Santo's an idiot.
kapkomet
Sliced bread is over-rated too.
Queen Prawn
No, I wouldn't. I haven't been able to get ANY of my Cub fan friends to agree that Santo's an idiot. My godmother (my mom's sister) thinks he is the greatest thing. Whatever floats her boat, I guess.
Yoda
And the thing that I hate the most about Santo is that he’s always quiet when the Cubs are losing. That other guy (I don’t know what the hell is his name) is the only one talking. Am I right folks?
Goldmember
My godmother (my mom's sister)... would that also be your aunt by any chance...
Queen Prawn
would that also be your aunt by any chance... LOL! Yup. I don't know too many people who's god parents are a blood relative of their parents (the only reason I worded it that way). I was going to include the explanation my grampa had for her being the only Cubs fan in the family - her brain was put in backwards.
soxman352000
Santo also can't stand the White Sox. Yesterday Pat said the Cubs will welcome in the Sox and Santo said well now that they are in first place we will be ready for them. I have a question Ron. Do the Cubs only get up to play teams who are in first place? If so the Cubs are truly f***ed. Ron you got to such your mouth dumbass
Nokona
Alot of the Cubs fans i know have this to say about him. "Well, he has no legs, so you should like him." To which i say "I didn't like him when he HAD legs."

To which i say "I didn't like him when he HAD legs." Kind of off-topic, kind of not, but too funny not to repeat. There was a guy on Last Comic Standing who told this joke: "So my Grampa has two wooden legs, right? Last week there was a fire at his house, and Grampa burned to the ground!" So wrong of me, but I thought of Santo burning to the ground when I heard that joke!

SAVVY18
On a different board that caters to all of chicago sports teams, the cub fans are whining about how "terrible" all of our announcers are. They rip on Hawk & DJ for being homers and not calling the cub runs with the same enthusiasm as they do for the Sox and on Rooney & Farmeo for being boring and not calling the game, but talking about other stuff. They are so F-ing clueless it isn't funny. But then again, they are the ones saying Corky had a "great" game yesterday. Yes, he did get the GW homer, but he was 1-5 with 2 K's. :fthecubs
soxman352000
Cub fans make me sick, f***ers have the biggest homer in Chimp Caray yet they don't give him any s***. :fyou Cub Fans

Hawk and DJ are "homers" for rooting for the Sox like they do. But, atleast both of them know what's going on down on the field. Caray is clueless. What can I say, other then Cubs fans are hypocrites
