Could be a very interesting game

Yes, ST means very little, and I will never think otherwise, but...

Today, the Sox take on the Brewers. The reason that is of interest to me is that Royce Clayton, as you all probably know, is now their SS. That brings a scenario to mind...

Let's say Frank is on first, and a grounder is hit to 1st base. Clayton goes to cover 2nd for a DP attempt, but all of a sudden, he sees Frank (6'5, 275, and probably a size 16) coming right at him. Does Frank revert to his days at Auburn and "forget to slide", and tackle the 190 pound (soaking wet) Clayton? Or does Frank sharpen his spikes before the game (in memory of baseball great Ty Cobb) and test their effectiveness on Royce's shin?

Or, does MB (today's scheduled pitcher) "lose control" of a 4 seamer and hit Royce in the noggin? Maybe Damaso has a slider "slip"?

Most likely nothing will happen - but nothing's impossible.

MB has nothing against RC to my knowledge.

But FT coming in with spikes up aimed at RC's groin... now if I were RC, that would concern me!

:bringit

Of course the "what-if" scenarios are only plausible when talking about Klayton on the defensive side of the ball. MB is not a headhunter and we all know Klayton doesn't see 1B until the second half of the season. :headbang

lets hope they start ritchie........... :D :D :D :D

I'm callin the clayton 3-3 day :D

He may get 3 hits, ALL ST

You can put it on the boooaaarrrd..... YYYYYEEEEESSSSS!!!!! :headbang

Dunno how many people are curious about today's game since apparently it's not on radio anywhere, but it's the top of the 5th and it's tied up at 2. I think Buehrle was supposed to be starting today, so I can only assume he did alright. Although, it's MB, so what else would we expect? ;)

At last check it was 4-2 sox. It's killing me not knowing what's going on, who's in the lineup and who is doing what.

Innings...1..2..3..4..5..6..7..8..9

Chi Sox...1..0..1..0..2..0..0

Brewers..0..2..0..0..0..0..0

Game is now in the top of the 9th.... 6-5 sox :)

Final: 8-5 Sox's!

They improve to 5-3.

Game is now in the top of the 9th.... 6-5 sox :)

we won 8-5, yes?

Mark Buehrle got the win today while Tom Gordon got his second save. :headbang
