Oh, I just had to do it ...

I thought it was

Carlos Lee has been in the bases loaded situation so many f***ing times, but the guy never learns. When will he try to at least hit a single in an infield gap? That could have scored a run or two. If you get a RBI then you get a RBI. Every single guy had a good at bat in the bottom of the 8th till Carlos came and just made himself look stupid.

As bad as the C. Lee at bat, and I agree, the slider was no where near the plate so he could have continued to sit on the fast ball. My point goes to why Ben Davis was left in the game and then Rowand and Uribe were used as runners. Is Rowand that much better Perez as a runner???? Also, if the game goes into the 9th and we get a couple of guys on, our options are Davis, Alomar and Burke??? Not sure of the strategy here.

baggio, why don't you stand up at SoxFest and demand Carlos Lee's resignation?

:D

hmmm..not a bad idea :D

two guys walk in front of him in a 2 run game and what does carlos do???...swing at the first pitch...and i know the defense already...the pitcher was awesome....that was gonna be the best pitch carlos saw...but i gaurentee that carlos wasnt thinking zone him in - reel him in...

Carlos saw a thigh-high fastball middle-away and lined it to the gap right at Anderson.

Sox caught a break when Christian Guzman lined what would have been a 2-run game winning hit right AT Carlos Lee in the 8th inning on Thursday. We won that game. Here, Carlos was the one on the receiving end of bad luck - if the ball is 10 feet further to right, it's a 3-run gapper, and Sox probably win. Thems the breaks, right?

And do you know why I personally criticized Carlos in similar situations in the past? Not because he made a bases loaded out on the first pitch, but rather because he tried to pull/homer off an outside strike and promptly jammed himself, usually resulting in a shallow pop-up to RF............That wasn't the case in last night's game - he did everything right and it just didn't go his way.

"You have Carlos, who does everything you are supposed to do, and hits a line drive and the guy catches it," Konerko said.
