Yea, this team has lots of character

For those of you who jumped all over me for saying this team lacks character you are seeing exactly what I meant. While the Twins are taking care of business beating the teams they are supposed to, the Sox are on their way to their 5th straight loss and basically showing why this ballclub is not a winning one. Watch for the infighting and negativity to start big time as they fall farther out of contention. You are seeing a prime example of the individual comes before team attitude that has been and is pervasive on this ballclub with the whole Ordonez contract fiasco.

Geez, a team goes through a slump and all the negative posters come out of the woodwork. What's wrong with me? They should go 162-0.

I'm not gonna start a rip fest unless we lose the weekend series to Seattle.

The game thread is awfully negative.

I don't see how "character" plays any role in our recent slump. What does character have to do with the fact Scott Schoenweis totally sucks and blew his load early in the year? Or that Willie Harris has gone from looking like a potential all-star to a bum? Or that our entire bullpen outside of Shingo and Marte is struggling? Or that we're still without our best offensive player? And so on. We SUCK right now. Period!

And while we've been beaten by the Cubs and the Angels, two perenial World Series contenders, the Twins have been beating up on the Royals and the D'Backs, two of the worst teams in baseball.

At least provide a good argument, I mean, come on. Like CSF said, we go into our first pro-longed slump of the year, and all of the pessimistic morons come out all over the place. And once this slump ends, you guys will be nowhere to be found.

Well. We were in a slump before before our recent five game winnng streak. Now we're about to match it with a 5 gm losing streak.

IIRC this will be the longest winning streak of the year. IMO, a slump is where you're not winning games. If we were winning these games, everything would be alright. But we're not, so it sucks.
