July 13, 200421 yr I love Woody; always have. He's a little goofy sometimes, but I still like him. I was going to say the same. He may act goofy but the guy has made Jay look like the moron he is.
July 14, 200421 yr I didn't realize the scope of this dislike for Jay, but I was reading an article today on ESPN Page 2 about the next members of the 500 HR Club and here's a quote in the blurb about the Big Hurt: Just-one-thin-sliver-less-Honorable Mention: Frank Thomas is sitting on 436. He's also sitting on the bench when his team's in the field. It isn't his fault, but there are no DHs on this writer's all-500 team, so it's the logjam spot for Big Frank. He's going up and over 500, but he's not starting over Thome. What will he care? He'll have Hawk Harrelson working doing "You can put it on the boooooooooooooooard! Yes!!" on the mic the night the storied home run clears the fence. That's reward enough for any man.
