Considering what we traded away, and got some cash too, hell yes.

Rauch was definitely a AAAA pitcher. And we'll probably reacquire Majewski for the second time. ;)

And cash is always good in the eyes of JR.

Carl Everett completely changes the make-up of this line-up with a switch-hitting power bat with great clutch ability. We didn't give up a lot and are paying him virtually nothing. Plus, we won't be seeing him in the field. Hell yes this is a good trade.

:cheers to KW.

If he can get a catcher that can hit... this line-up will be murders' row.

I like the trade, but I don’t like the way people talk about Jon Rauch. I won’t forget that the man gave us a desperate win in that 5th starter slot and I thank him for that. People say he may or may not be a real SP, but who knows. I wish him luck of course (and the other guy) and hope they have a good future ahead of them.

Welcome to Chicago Carl.

Maybe a little to much to pay with Rauch, but if he was out of options as some one suggested, than might as well trade him because hed been given chances to make the team, and betting that he would make it next year or get nothing in return was not that great of odds.

I likede the trade it adds another left handed bat in our line up.

Hell Yes.

No reason to cry over losing 2 nothing prospects. Everett will definitely help this lineup.

Welcome to Chicago Carl.

That was a big win at the time, but he went five and flew, and IIRC he got a ton of popups because he was up in the zone. He doesn't have the stuff to live like that in U.S. Cellular on a consistent basis. Wish him well, but a small price to pay for Carl.

Hell yes.
