3E8
Here is some statistical analysis of how our schedule difficulty compares to every other major league team so far this year. Cases that look like ties have been ordered based on further accuracy than three decimal places. As you can see, we've had the 14th hardest schedule in the majors, 6th hardest in the AL, and overall hardest of any AL Central team. The toughest part of the year is behind us folks, there are blue skies on the horizon. Even though we've had serious injuries, no one in the league is going to feel sorry for us. We just have to go out and play hard. Take a look at our rivals, the Twins. They've had, by far, the EASIEST schedule out of any team in the major leauges. Even though the last three days have been a complete nightmare, the following list gives me confidence. Strength Of Schedule Percentages 1 Chicago Cubs .521 2 Houston .518 3 Anaheim .513 4 Pittsburgh .513 5 Cincinnati .513 6 Seattle .513 7 St. Louis .508 8 Oakland .508 9 Boston .506 10 Milwaukee .505 11 Tampa Bay .505 12 Arizona .503 13 Colorado .503 14 Chicago Sox .502 15 Kansas City .502 16 Texas .502 17 NY Yankees .500 18 Florida .497 19 NY Mets .495 20 Toronto .495 21 Atlanta .493 22 Baltimore .493 23 Los Angeles .492 24 Detroit .492 25 San Francisco .492 26 Cleveland .491 27 Montreal .488 28 Philadelphia .486 29 San Diego .483 30 Minnesota .

CSF
The Cubs have had the toughest schedule? For that, I truly am shocked. The Twins have had the easiest schedule? Again, truly shocked!

It's because they're already done with the cards, so that drives up that winning percentage a lot.

chisox2004ws
That is refreshing news that the twinks have only had the easiest schedule so far. I might even get some sleep tonight for the first time this week.
thedoctor
fwiw, here's the remaining teams the sox and twins will play. i think it's worth noting that the sox have two more series left with the twins, and those will probably be more crucial than this last one. here goes... twins get: boston, anaheim, oakland, seattle, cleveland, yankees, cleveland, texas and anaheim, texas, kansas city, baltimore, detroit, chicago, baltimore, chicago, cleveland, yankees, cleveland. sox get: detroit, kansas city, cleveland, kansas city, boston, detroit, boston, detroit and cleveland, philly (one game), oakland, seattle, texas, anaheim, minnesota, detroit, kansas city, detroit, kansas city of particular note is the fact the sox have four more series with the royals, possibly the worst team in baseball right now. the twins see kc once more.
