Anyone else feel like we beat ourselves today?

I'm not meaning this is a totally negative thread but for us to have a legitimate shot it's becoming clear that Ozzie needs to start learning from his mistakes.

The one that really bugs me is in the 7th inning. He pinch hits Aaron Rowand and Joe Borchard to come out and face the lefty. In my opinion thats a brilliant move. The part that bugs me is that instead of leaving Aaron Rowand in, the more established hitter who has more experience and is hitting .300, leaves in a Rookie like Joe Borchard. I know that I might be in the minority here but I honestly believe that in Rowand is left in the game then the 9th inning might of come out differently.

Most of his other mistakes have come from just making the lineups. I don't understand why he chose today to put Willie Harris in CF. I know AROW needed a day off but I would rather see Borch getting a chance to start then continuing to have our 2B out of position.

I hope that today was a sign that Ozzie is learning his lesson about putting Jose in the 2 hole. Timo Perez did a good job today and was one of the sole reasons the game was as close as it was.

I'm not giving up the season yet by any means but I had to vent this somewhere. :)

We obviously had plenty of chances to win the game today, but Ozzie cannot be blamed for this. No one on the team alone can be blamed, piece by piece things fell apart and mistakes were made. With a performance as the Sox had today the whole team is to blame and blaming it on an individual, whether it be a coach or player is not accurate unless you blame everyone else who had a glitch in the game.

Yes, 2 errors resulting in runs. Plus we got the two calls to go our way and Morneau scores anyways, then he gets out and Hunter hits a home run. We should have won, but I guess that happens. I thought this year was going to be different against the Twins, but it seems like the same old luck is coming back.

In the same post you complained the Ozzie left Borchard in the game, and that Ozzie didn't start Borchard. No wonder Ozzie keeps making mistakes.
