How many wins will it take?

Featured Replies

Minny is on pace for 92 wins. We would need to be 39-21 the rest of the way to reach that same win total.

It's crunch time.

Hmmmm as much as I don't like the Twins, I do think they'll keep on pace for that many wins even with the hard schedule. I'd guess they'd win about 89 games. That's just my guess though. So the Sox would have to go 36-24, which doesn't seem as bad.

Normally I don't like to look that far ahead and say we have to go "XX-XX" in our next so many games. The way I look at is we need to go 1-0 in our next 1 game. But if you are looking at it that way, I think we definitely can make up 5 games in two months. Look at what Cleveland has done, they have been coasting vs the Royals and made up a few games in the standings really fast.

This is a big series coming up with KC and we are more than capable of sweeping.

Hopefully Contreras, Schoe, and Garland can keep us in the game.

Then we will have a chance because KC pitching blows. We get to face Brian Anderson who we own, and that needs to continue.

The other 2 guys, Wood and Grenkie we have never faced. So we'll see about that.

Then comes a tough series against Celveland which we have Buehrle, Garcia, Contreras, and Schoe going.

I think right now we have a chance to make up ground fast.

Then we'll see from there.
