October 5, 200421 yr From the Baltimore Sun, "This isn't going to shock anyone, but it comes from a pretty high-ranking source in the Orioles' front office. The free-agent hitter at the top of the team's wish list is outfielder Magglio Ordonez, though the Orioles will have to ascertain that he is healthy after he underwent knee surgery and missed much of the 2004 season."
October 5, 200421 yr if he gets healthy he would thrive in Camden Yards, especially with Tejada and Javy Lopez in lineup. but he'd be running into the REd Sox and Yankees and never touch the post-season.
October 5, 200421 yr Personally if I was him I wouldln't even consider Baltimore. But a lot of the decision is about money and if he gets more there, I guess there's a good shot he'll go there.

And after seeing the lengths the Ordonez camp will go to in order to protect his worth, I have no doubts Maggs will go to the highest bidder no matter how bad they are.

Yeah true, but doing that he'll basically will have on shot at getting into the playoffs anytime soon, unless the Orioles get some good pitching. Maggs will go for the money though.
