Rooney tips his hat to his partner....

Rooney is under contract with the Sox through next season, so there is no way he did or will apply for the Cubs TV job. That is just utterly bogus and incorrect.

We're blessed to have Hawk??  Cursed is more like it!

No, I love Hawk, and I am sure many people here do too. He is White Sox baseball. He lives it. I hate seeing the Tigers-Sox games here without hearing Hawk. I couldn't imagine seeing a game in Chicago without him, or even DJ for that matter.

Hawk sucks as an announcer, you guys are just biased homers. :bringit

Rooney would go elsewhere if the job was right, including the Cubs! The exposure on WGN would be great for him and he knows it!! So, maybe your information is bogus & incorrect. :)

Rooney gets tons of national exposure now as is. He is involved in the baseball playoffs right now, and does many big college basketball games as well. He doesn't need the Cubs to achieve his career goals, whatever they might be.
