March 26, 200323 yr I'm watchin the 3 pm pst editon of SportsCenter, and there's going to be a segment later on about Frank and how he's looking to regain his old form in '03. Just an FYI for anyone interested.
March 26, 200323 yr Damn, you and big hurt were quick to post that. Ditto what I said in the other thread, Frank better not be talking. For those that are able to watch it, can you give us the highlights of what is said. Thanks
March 26, 200323 yr Author Frank's the f***ing man. Look for a huge season from him. in '03 motherf***ers
March 27, 200323 yr While on the subject of Frank, somewhere on another thread there was a comment about some pathetic slide he made at home plate. Can anyone fill me in? Tks.

I'm not sure what game it was. He had a few weak slides last year. One game was against Minnesota, the other was against Tampa Bay. When you're that size and you decide at the last minute to slide, it's going to look just god awful. It was like he decided to slide, then stopped, then finished the slide. Like he just kinda flopped.
March 27, 200323 yr I remember those slides last year; I thought he was talking about something recent.
March 27, 200323 yr I remember those slides last year; I thought he was talking about something recent. I think all those errors came in like a 5 day period. The baserunning really stunk during that stretch.
March 27, 200323 yr So, what did Frank say on Sports Center today? Has his approach changed? Is he going to the wide-open stance? Has he had significant psychological help this offseason?
March 27, 200323 yr While on the subject of Frank, somewhere on another thread there was a comment about some pathetic slide he made at home plate. Can anyone fill me in? Tks. Mark Buehrle was asked by an ESPN reporter how many people in the dugout were laughing at Frank Thomas' "pathetic" slide at home plate last year. MB answered, "25."
March 27, 200323 yr Frank came into Spring Training and got all the crap off his chest. He has since been quite a team oriented guy. Working hard on defense, etc. His apprach is exactly what he did early in his career.... be selective and try and drive a pitch to right center or up the middle. He really seems to have the right attitude...... for now. We'll see.
