My Vegas Weekend/Sox Sighting

Featured Replies

Just got back from Las Vegas and, for only the second time in my life, I came back with more money than I went out to Vegas with.

The state of Michigan screwed me good on Saturday. Was down about $700 after the dust cleared. But thank God for Pittsburgh and San Diego who covered for me on a $400 parlay..... winning me $1000+. A four team teaser won me $200 on top of that. A good Sunday for me by all accounts.

Frank Thomas was in LV for the fight on Saturday night..... I think. He was tipping the cocktail waitress $100 for every drink she brought to him in the casino. While waiting in the security line at McCarron Airport, a gaggle of giggly, admitted, female Cub fans saw my Sox jacket and told us that they talked to Frank Thomas who spoke with them when they told him they were from Chicago. To top it off, Frank bought all of them breakfast. It was all they were talking about while waiting to board the flight back to Chicago.

BTW..... the Sox are 20/1 to win the WS and 10/1 to win the ALC. The Cubs, on the otherhand, are 5/1 to win the WS and 3/1 to win the NLC. The Cubs are the NL favorite.

Thtas pretty cool Killa. We both were lucky then. I was in Vegas this past weekend and one 125. Bears cost me on the over otherwise I had a 400 dollar parlay.

I was tempted to put Money on the Sox but then thought, I'll wait. One thing I noticed was the Sox were pretty out their in terms of odds. They were 40/1 at Caesars last week, with the Rangers and Tigers rated right with them.

Them and the Rangers were the best bet I saw in picking up good money.

Sounds like a fun time killa

Did you win, too?

And I'm not even going to touch "Thtas"

I had a feeling the Colts were gonna whup up on the Bears but I bought into the whole Chicago media line of "Best Defense in the NFL" BS. I was kicking myself big time cause I just had a feeling Peyton and Co. were gonna completely own the Bears while I sweated out the San Diego and, particularly, the Pittsburgh game.

But it's all the same in the end.

Has anyone ever created a better betting game than football?

I also gotta give credit to the Ravens and Bucs who came through for my Ties Win Teaser.

Week 11 was unusually easy to call for some reason. I got 14 out of 16 right in the football picks thread. Not that anyone is even keeping track anymore, though.

At least Frank is representing the Sox better than Scottie "No Tippin'" Pippen represented the Bulls.
