hi8is
this is one starter that ive never heard anything about... i know he got injured at the end of last year... is he not expected to be healthy in 2005? i also know that the marlins signed him to a one year deal in jan. 04.... so i think he's a FA, that is unless the dodgers signed him or offered him arb. anyone wanna shead some light onto weither or not this guy is worth a look? Gene Honda Civic
NO he's a Dodger next year -- 1 more year until FA
SoxFan562004
NO he's a Dodger next year -- 1 more year until FA That makes sense, because if he wasn't that trade really would be one of the worst trades in the last few years

Chisoxfn
I'm assuming the Dodgers will offer him arbitration, but their is also a remote possibility that he's on the trading block, given the way he finished last season. When healthy he's a horse.
Punch and Judy Garland
I think given the pricetag they paid for him, they will keep him. If he's healthy this year, he's an interesting name in the 05 offseason. Hudson, Oswalt, and the Unit will command more attention but Penny is solid. I think the only name on that list that could be available in FA next year is Oswalt...and there is a good chance that even he won't be. New York could end up with RJ, and they'll extend his contract, and Hudson will probably want an extension wherever he goes, and with the price Beane is likely to ask, the team will want to resign him too.
