December 13, 200421 yr I just saw on MLB.com that Royce Ring is available in the Rule 5 draft. Kind of interesting for the former No 1 draft choice.
December 13, 200421 yr Moving to FutureSox forum because that's where all the minor league stuff goes. Ring is an interesting story though, his velocity has dissappeared almost Kris Honel like over the past few seasons. Still I'd prefer to take a chance on him than to have Kevin Walker on our 40 man roster, but hey that's just me.
December 13, 200421 yr Author I'd be willing to take him back also. I wondered why he would be unprotected. Sounds like possible arm problems.
December 13, 200421 yr I haven't studied it greatly, but it seems as if there is more talent this year than usual. I wish we'd take a flyer on some guy...$50,000 is chump change.

December 13, 200421 yr It appears we didn't draft or lose anyone, per BA's blog. Wow only 12 players picked. I didn't see Colt Griffin's name mentioned anywhere...
December 13, 200421 yr The White Sox selected Ryan Warpinski from the the Marlins in the Triple-A phase. At Texas A&M, Waspinski had a teammate named Ryan Wardinski. Yes, we are loopy from three days in Anaheim. -- 11:26 a.m. PST
December 17, 200421 yr I'd be willing to take him back also. I wondered why he would be unprotected. Sounds like possible arm problems. It seems like kenny again knew something nobody else knew like the sirotka trade. I can't imagine ring NOT to have arm troubles, i mean royce was a #1 pick who somewhat lived up to it his first seasons. He has to, other wise I am very confused.
