December 19, 200421 yr I know most of us already realized that rumor of Garland/Marte/Konerko was this overblown thing. But DepoDesta was just on the radio out here. His exact quotes when asked about the Sox as a 4th team were that it isn't going to happen. He didn't deny the potential deal with the other teams and seemed to act as if it was going to get finalized over the next couple days. He said it is still possible that the Sox and Dodgers make a deal, but if it were to happen , it wouldn't be a part of the deal, but would happen at another time. Also specifically said he hasn't talked to Kenny since the Winter Meetings.

If they hold to that then Konerko will be going nowhere and we won't be getting another starter unless it's a reach like Nomo. We're probably looking at Schoe or Grilli and we should know about Schoe today I believe.

Who the hell would they have left to pitch? They could be losing Odalis Perez too. I think that would leave them with Jeff Weaver and one more starter.
