When's the last time Reinsdorf rewarded ANY of his premier players for outstanding play? There you go. Ain't gonna happen Nuke. And that's unfortunate for guys like Maggs and Buehrle who deserve more respect from not only Reinsdorf and baseball fans, but the sports media as well.

Woah! And i think 2003 is a contract year isnt it? I dont trust JR with short contracts on big players.

I was one year off on Magglio. Here's his deal.

Magglio Ordonez OF CHW Signed Jul 2001 - 3 years/$29.5M

2002: $6.5M

2003: $9.0M

2004: $14.0M

That's one hell of a raise in 2004.

all he wants is a better chance to win something..i dont see where he asked for more money.....and thats a good thing too cause we know what happens to guys on the sox who ask for more...lol... as long as maggs keeps the low profile he does here there isnt any doubt in my mind that he will be around for a long time to come... hes just what jr likes in a player.. productive and dont go to the media.........;)

Michelle the first thing I thought of when I saw the title of the thread was damn it he wants more money.

Thank goodness he doens't cause we just gave him a big money deal.

those were my exact thoughts too jas...and then i thought oh s*** he got boras for a agent now lol......good thing all he wants is to win something........i would hate the thought of having to put the house on the market and go where he goes.....;)

Good thing his first pair of shoes were bought by bristol. lol

He would be much more greedy.

i just copied it the same way it was on the times. it was a good attention getter. what i liked was that he was not happy with the way the sox season ended and wants to have more, like a series and more. that is the hunger that we need here. some drive, not someone wanting to collect a check, like royce.
