January 25, 200521 yr Author Update from Scott Merkin's Sox.Com Mailbag column. Hey, Scott. Just curious as to how Jerry Reinsdorf was feeling? White Sox fans all over the country wish him the best and a speedy recovery. -- Cassandra, Reno, Nev. Apparently, Reinsdorf has received that uplifting message loud and clear, Cassandra. I talked Monday to Scott Reifert, the team's vice president of communications, and he said that Reinsdorf was doing very well after undergoing an angioplasty procedure at Northwestern Memorial Hospital one week ago. Tests showed that Reinsdorf suffered from a minor blockage. According to Reifert, Reinsdorf is even expected back in his office later this week. Reinsdorf also has been very touched by the phone calls, e-mails, letters and flowers coming in from around the country, expressing concern for his health and expressing get-well sentiments. Everyone at MLB.com wishes the same speedy recovery and years of great health to Reinsdorf. With the thrilling fashion in which the Bulls are winning games and the exciting offseason moves made by White Sox general manager Ken Williams, it could be a special year for Reinsdorf and his teams.
