CSF
From the Sun-Times: McMahon still going long If the White Sox are looking for some power, they might try looking to their recently concluded fantasy camp in Tucson, Ariz. That would be where former Bears quarterback Jim McMahon was one of the campers and reportedly hit a home run. The 20th anniversary camp had its seventh consecutive sellout with 98 patrons last week. Among the former players in attendance were Bill Melton, Tom Paciorek, Bobby Thigpen, Greg Walker, Harold Baines, Ron Kittle, Rudy Law, Carlos May, Steve Trout, Daryl Boston, Mark Salas, Ed Herrmann, Kevin Hickey and Rich Dotson. Current outfielder Aaron Rowand was there, too. No truth that Sox general manager Ken Williams is looking to sign any of them for pitching depth or offensive pop -- although all likely would fit in nicely with the Sox' payroll plans. Besides his offensive skills, McMahon signed baseballs, bats and footballs for other campers. A participant in the camp also observed that McMahon seemed to have trouble with his hamstrings. Maybe next time he will use baseball training exercises rather than the regimen employed by the Bears.

retro1983hat
QUOTE(YASNY @ Jan 26, 2005 -> 10:33 PM) How many Major league at-bats do you have? About 1 less than Joe Borchard should have. Interesting article. But, Daryl Boston. Ahh all the fond Sox memories of Daryl Boston.
