January 28, 200521 yr QUOTE(WHarris1 @ Jan 28, 2005 -> 03:49 PM) Whoa, when you think of all the UNC/Duke games and the other big games that ESPN has had thats suprising. Probally because two pretty impressive streaks were on the line.
January 28, 200521 yr Yeah I know that but Illinois/Wiscy just doesn't seem like it would get the national acclaim to be top 7 all time.
January 29, 200521 yr Author QUOTE(WHarris1 @ Jan 28, 2005 -> 09:55 PM) Yeah I know that but Illinois/Wiscy just doesn't seem like it would get the national acclaim to be top 7 all time. They hyped the hamburgers out of that game.
January 29, 200521 yr ESPN should take full advantage of the Illini as they really seem more like a more marketbale team than Stanford was last year. They should pick up as many of their games as they can and should already be hyping the Spartan/Illini game on Tuesday night.
January 29, 200521 yr I think for all intents and purposes it was a #1 vs. a #2 game. I say that because both streaks were so impressive that it seemed to be on legit equal footing.
