October 8, 200223 yr From whitesox.com CHICAGO - The Chicago White Sox have outrighted right-handed pitchers Lorenzo Barcelo, Kyle Kane and Mitch Wylie and left-hander Thomas Jacquez to Class AAA Charlotte.
October 9, 200223 yr I think Barcelo's career is almost done. Too many surgeries. Too bad, he seemed to have some good stuff when he wasn't hurting (which was almost always).

October 9, 200223 yr Thats what happens to many very good arms in the minors. Injuries ruin plenty of prospects careers. I'd say that 20% of all top to good prospects, fail because of injuries, while another high % fail because they can't produce at the major league level.
October 9, 200223 yr Originally posted by Cerbaho-WGI don't believe so. Nobody there surprise me except for Jacquez. Weren't all of those guys already in AAA? Why would you outright them their if they are already there? It has to mean they are being taken off of the 40 man and now are soley on the Knights roster, or am I really mistaken on this? Anyway, as far as Barcelo goes has anyone heard anything about how his surgery went and if the Sox even expect him to pitch next season?
October 9, 200223 yr Well, I am going to answer my own question. They were dumped off the 40 man roster so that now means we have 4 guys to add to that roster and I'm sure the Sox will annouce that move soon. I'm going to guess we'll see Joe Valentine and some other pitchers replacing them on the 40 man.
