Extreme Makeover: Home Edition

Featured Replies

The episode for the house they built here in Birmingham for the Harris family is being shown tonight at 7:00 central time.

The house looks really cool from the outside and there is a big kids play area in the back. The family has an interesting story. It should be good.

The area they built it in is called Center Point, which is just about 10 minutes from the Birmingham airport. It is in an older section of Birmingham.

I'll be watching for sure. I love this show. It wasn't on last weekend though, because of the Oscars.

I think this is the one were they do a Cub Scout Pinewood Derby theme for the younger boy's room.

I don't know if I hate the show more because it sucks, which it does, like every reality TV show, or the fact that it KILLS a quality show like Arrested Development in the ratings every damn time. :banghead

Hmm, your wrong, this show friggin owns.

it grows on ya...

Opinions vary...... not all of us can be as cool as you, so throw us a bone and allow us to have a losers thread once in awhile without spoiling it with your coolness.

You're right, I do tend to spoil things with my coolness, it is my one fault.

It's not just about this one reality show, it's all of them. I doubt that you love ALL reality shows (at least I hope not)

In my opinion, the worst scripted show is better than the best reality show. Because these shows aren't "reality", and at least it took some talent to write/act in Half and Half or whatever UPN show is the worst. It takes no talent to be on a "reality" show.

I'll never understand the appeal of reality shows....hopefully people will realize just how dumb these shows are and stop watching and they'll go away forever.

I dont watch one reality show on television...

I say that even though i do watch Extreme Makeover Home Edition. How do u put that into the reality show genre?

Its nice to see something uplifting instead of people fueding over a million bucks or some sort of contract on a reality show.

It is and it isn't. I mean if you're one of the prospective familes you have to hope your situation is deemed desparate enough by executives, to have ABC capitalize on it. Hope s***ty must you feel if you're one of the 10's of thousands of familes that missed the cut. "Oh we're sorry, you guys aren't in bad enough shape for our liking" Ouch.

Actually, seeing some of the houses they've "remodeled" and the reasons they have for them actually gives me some hope that I could send them a tape and actually get chosen.

Some of them are in better shape than my house before they even do anything to them... :crying
