Nick Carter hit with drunk driving charge in California

MARCH 7--Meet Nick Carter. The Backstreet Boy, 25, was arrested Saturday night on a drunk driving charge. According to Huntington Beach, California cops, the singer was pulled over at about 7:30 PM for a traffic violation and was determined to be drunk during questioning by police. After failing a field sobriety test, Carter was booked into the Huntington Beach City Jail (where the below mug shot was snapped) and released after four hours in custody. Carter was issued a citation and, according to a police spokesman, officers are determining whether to file additional charges against the performer. Carter, best known recently as a Paris Hilton boyfriend of the month, is scheduled to join his Backstreet Boy comrades in New York on March 21 as they kick off the group's first U.S. tour in several years. iirc it was from like a 2020 thing or something a long time ago about the dude that created them and others (believe he also put together nsync and the boy band made from the making the band tv show) and how he had a "mold" of exactly which guys to put into the group designed to make the most money...
