Steff
Scott Peterson was officially sentenced to death today. Guess Laci's family made some pretty powerful VIS, and the Peterson's left the courtroom in some sort of protest.. And the verdict is in on the Blake case. To be anounced in about an hour. FlaSoxxJim
QUOTE(Steff @ Mar 16, 2005 -> 05:48 PM) Blake not guilty.. How the hell did that happen? Celebrities can get away with murder in LA - literally.
Chisoxfn
How Blake was found no guilty and Peterson guilty I'll never know. To this day I have no clue how they found Peterson guilty. I guarantee you one thing, had Ms. Peterson not been pregnant I bet he would of been found not guilty. It has nothing to do with my personal opinion but the Peterson case had far fewer evidence then the Blake case. Of course the blake case they couldn't tie the weapon to him at all, but you'd think the solication would of been good evidence.
KipWellsFan
Big day in Canadian courts too http://www.cbc.ca/story/canada/national/20...ance050316.html 2 acquitted in Air India bombings Last Updated Wed, 16 Mar 2005 17:49:36 EST CBC News VANCOUVER - A judge has found millionaire Sikh businessman Ripudaman Singh Malik and sawmill worker Ajaib Singh Bagri not guilty of conspiracy and murder in the 1985 Air India bombing that killed 329 people. This was apparently the worst terrorist attack the world has seen, before 9/11. Edited March 16, 2005 by KipWellsFan

Queen Prawn
From yahoo article: The defense called it a weak case built largely on the testimony of two witnesses who were once heavy drug users. No eyewitnesses, blood or DNA evidence linked Blake to the crime. The murder weapon, found in a trash bin, could not be traced to Blake, and witnesses said the minuscule amounts of gunshot residue found on Blake's hands could have come from a different gun he said he carried for protection. Doesn't sound like much of a case, but I didn't follow it at all so this could be completely misunderstood by me.
Steff
Bonnie's problem was that she had too many enemies.. there was evidence of at least 6 others (2 of them movie stars - Brando and Busse) wanting her dead. I didn't follow it as close as the Peterson case.. but IMO.. I agree that Blake is not guilty. As for Peterson.. he's guilty.. but not of 1st degree, and should not be on death row. IMO. Kid Gleason
My wife followed the Peterson case REALLY close as she was the same term as Laci was when she was killed, at the same time. Not that my wife was killed at the same time and all that, but...ya know what I mean. Anyhoo. I haven't asked her about it all yet, but I know when she hears the verdict she will be dancing in the street. From everything she read, saw, heard, she believes Peterson is guilty beyond a shadow of a doubt. I think one of the most damning things with the guy has been the 100% lack of remorse coming from him. Plus everything with the "other woman" is not real good. His wife goes missing and he plays it up to this person like nothing ever happened? Nah, the guy is scum.

They had no physical evidence putting him at the scene. They had no DNA putting him there and no weapon to tie him to. All they had was "He bought a boat so he obviously killed his wife."
