he was so good in the minors, what the hell.  Does anyone remember him in the all star futures game at the cell.  He was dominant, what happened

Even in the minors he walked way too many batters.

Uribe leading off for the Sox. Bland pitching for the M's.

Just got home, how did Contreras look?

Cotts?

Major League hitters know he has a fastball...and um, a slower fastball. He has no other reliable pitches he can get over for strikes.

Doesn't Cotts only have like two pitches?

I think he had control issues, but the end result worked out. 6 IP, 1 ER 6K?

Six strong innings. Six strikeouts. Retired the last seven batters.

Uribe singles up the middle. Brian Anderson up now.

How much quicker do you think college players would move through the minors if NCAA made them use wood bats?

Anderson softly hits it the right side. Uribe to second. 1 out. Ross Gload up.

Gload grounds out up the middle on a nice play by Santiago. Uribe to third. Carl up.

Carl "just missed it." Flies out to left. I have to go. Hopefully someone can take over the PBP reigns the rest of the way. Bye for now.

the game is on MLB tv

Kevin walker in to pitch

Two quick notes before I go:

Ozuna in at short. Anderson in at center. Walker now pitching. Hawk says Ozuna has not K'ed this entire spring and is hitting over .500.

Here is why Walker should make the team over Cotts:

Hawk and DJ are talking about how the sox cant possibly cut Osuna

high deep fly ball and sweeney makes the catch at the wall

jose lopez single to left

ricky gutierrez-base hit to the right side on first pitch

runner on 1st and 2nd, 1 down sox up 4-2

first pitch base hit to the left side, lopez scores, 4-3 bad guys

sorry 4-3 good guys

willie bloomquist up-long at bat, working the count full

He gone, 2-on 2 out

runners advance on a wild pitch
